Thinking back to this time last year, there seems to be a common theme....a time of waiting. Last year, we were waiting and counting down to the time when Landon would be leaving to go to South Carolina for the summer for basic training. It was a time of anxiousness, nervousness, and just wanting time to slow down. This year we have a completely different event we are waiting on. In approximately 5 weeks, we will meet our sweet daughter, Olivia. While it is, once again, a time of anxiousness and nervousness, we are so excited for it to finally be here.
It's funny to think about where we were just a short year ago, all the changes that have happened in our lives and in our marriage. But it's also funny how God continually teaches me the same thing over and over again no matter what season of life I am in. I was reading back over my posts from last summer and I came across
this post that I wrote while he was gone over "waiting on the Lord". Christ is so sweet to remind me of his promises during times of waiting. While we are so excited for the day to arrive when we do get to bring Olivia into this world, I am reminded that my waiting needs to be on the Lord, and not this sweet event
